Our Philosophy
Monetary currency follows people currency
Most charitable enterprises require monetary currency to scale and have the most impact. But what’s even more primary — and precedes monetary currency — is “people currency.” Without people, charities cannot scale.
ECF Founder Kent Seton discovered that the business people who know best how to grow relationships succeed at much higher levels than those who don’t. There is another business operating beneath the surface: the Business of People .
Those in the “do good” world must apply these same principles — building great relationships to inspire giving, volunteerism, and partnership — to achieve greater good at scale.
“You are a verb, not a noun. What you do — the relationships you build, the value you create — is what defines your reach and your impact.”
— Kent Seton, Founder, Edward Charles Foundation
The 4-Week Curriculum
What you'll learn
Each week builds on the last, taking you from personal storytelling to advanced relationship strategy — a complete framework for the Business of People.
01
Week One
The Art of Storytelling
What makes a compelling story — and how to communicate that you are a verb, not a noun. Learn to articulate your mission in ways that move people to act, give, and partner with you.
02
Week Two
Social Capital
What is social capital, how do you build it, and what distinguishes a transactional contact from a strong business relationship? This week reframes how you think about every connection you make.
03
Week Three
Building Your Fab 50
Identify and cultivate your top 50 contacts — the people who will get you to the next level. Learn the strategies and habits to keep these relationships active, valuable, and reciprocal.
04
Week Four
Triangulation
The capstone concept. Learn how to actuate your network, create genuine value for others, and build the kind of relationships that compound — turning your Fab 50 into exponential impact.

About the Program Creator
Kent Seton — Entrepreneur, Connector, ECF Founder
Kent Seton founded a community of former pro and college athletes who helped each other in the business world. As that community grew, Kent discovered that the people who mastered relationship-building succeeded at dramatically higher levels. That insight became the Business of People — and eventually, the Accelerator Program. Kent brings the same entrepreneurial energy to philanthropic leadership that built some of the most powerful networks in the sports and business world.
